Quick answer: Dial
*323#on your Glo Nigeria line to check your data balance. Glo’s current support pages also list*323*0#, the*312#data menu, SMSinfoto312, the Glo Café app andhsi.glo.comas balance-checking routes.
If you just want to know how much data you have left, start with *323#. It is the shortest current method listed by Glo for its revised data bundles and does not require an internet connection.
Check your Glo data balance with *323#
On the Glo line you want to check, open the phone app and dial:
*323#
Wait for Glo to return your current data information.
Glo’s current Revised Data Bundles page lists *323# as a direct way to check your data balance. Its broader Data Plans FAQ also documents other balance routes, so you have alternatives if the short code does not give you the detail you need.
Try 3230# for your Glo data bundle balance
Glo’s current Data Plans FAQ specifically lists:
*323*0#
as another USSD route for checking a Glo data bundle balance.
This is useful to know because you may see both *323# and *323*0# in current Glo documentation. They are not necessarily a contradiction: Glo publishes several balance-check methods across its different data pages and bundle types.
If *323# works on your line, there is no need to make the process more complicated. If it does not return the information you expect, try *323*0# next.
Check through the *312# Glo data menu
You can also dial:
*312#
and follow the data-service prompts.
Glo uses *312# for buying and managing data services, and its current Data Plans FAQ includes the menu as a way to check your data bundle balance.
This route takes more taps than *323#, but it is useful when you want to do more than check a balance, such as buy another plan or manage a data service.
Check Glo data balance by SMS
Glo’s current Data Plans FAQ lists this SMS method:
- Open your Messages app.
- Type
info. - Send it to
312. - Wait for Glo’s reply with your data information.
The important part is the destination: 312.
You may still find old articles telling you to send INFO to 127. Glo’s current Data Plans FAQ now lists info to 312 for checking your bundle balance.
Check with the Glo Café app
If you already use the official Glo Café app, you can check your account and data information there.
The app is more useful than USSD when you want a visual account view or need to manage other Glo services at the same time.
For a quick one-off balance check, however, *323# is simpler because it works without opening an app or using mobile data.
Check your Glo data balance online
Glo also lists its self-care portal as a balance-checking option:
Open it while using your Glo connection and follow the account information shown there.
This can be useful on a modem, MiFi, tablet or another device where using a phone dialler is inconvenient.
Which Glo data balance method should you use?
| Method | What to do | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Direct USSD | Dial *323# | Fastest normal check |
| Detailed USSD | Dial *323*0# | Alternative balance route |
| Data menu | Dial *312# | Balance plus data management |
| SMS | Send info to 312 | When you prefer a message reply |
| App | Open Glo Café | Visual account management |
| Web | Visit hsi.glo.com | Modems, MiFi and self-care |
Start with *323#. Use the others only when you need them.
Why do some websites still show 1270# or INFO to 127?
Because telecom articles can remain in Google long after network codes change.
Older Glo guides commonly mention:
*127*0#;INFOto127; and- the old
*777#data menu.
Some recent-looking pages still repeat those older instructions even though Glo’s current official Data Plans FAQ lists *312#, *323*0#, info to 312 and hsi.glo.com, while its Revised Data Bundles page recommends *323# for balance checks.
When an old tutorial and the network’s current support page disagree, use the current official Glo instructions.
How to check your Glo data expiry date
If you have more than one active Glo data plan, do not assume they all expire together.
Glo says multiple data plans can be active at the same time and each plan can have its own expiry date. It also says usage is taken from the plan with the earliest expiry first for its revised bundles.
For the clearest account view, check Glo Café or hsi.glo.com, especially if you have several active bundles, bonuses or rollover data.
What if Glo says you have data but the internet is not working?
A positive data balance does not always mean your phone currently has a working connection.
If your balance is available but websites and apps will not load:
- Turn mobile data off and back on.
- Confirm Glo is selected as the mobile-data SIM if you use two SIMs.
- Turn airplane mode on for a few seconds, then switch it off.
- Restart the phone.
- Check whether the problem affects every app or only one.
- Move to another location if the Glo signal is unusually weak.
- Test the SIM in another phone if possible before changing advanced network settings.

Checking another Nigerian network instead?
If the SIM is not Glo, use the network-specific guide rather than assuming every provider exposes the same details in the same way:
The harmonised short codes have made some services more similar across Nigerian networks, but each network can still document additional routes and menus.
